I’ve always been more interested in figuring out why someone likes a particular idea than simply taking a reference and copying it. Sometimes a single phrase or a random image becomes the starting point for a tattoo. I like to look for something unusual in those details and turn them into a design that takes on a character of its own.
In my work, I don’t stick to a single approach. I might spend a long time working on the composition, rearranging elements, removing the unnecessary, and searching for that perfect balance where every detail is exactly where it should be. It’s important to me not to overload the image or add elements just for the sake of effect.
I pay close attention to how a tattoo interacts with the body: how the lines flow, the direction of the design’s movement, and how it looks from different angles. After all, skin isn’t a flat canvas, and that makes every piece a unique challenge.
